Popular Nigerian Novelist, Sam Omatseye has revealed that the Supreme Court ruled against the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefele, but the presidential candidates of the Labour Party and the People’s Democratic Party, Peter Gregory Obi, and Atiku Abubakar are taking credit for the outcome. In his speech, he stated that the people who are now receiving good credit for the Supreme Court’s decision, at some point turn a blind eye to the suffering of the masses.
Sam alleged that their so-called media models have no respect for tribes, parties, and the faith of the masses. However, Omatseye strongly believes that the candidates that are receiving credit for the Supreme Court’s decision are not supposed to receive those credits because the court only had the interest of the masses at heart.
He said, “The Supreme Court verdict was not only against Emefele but those who backed him including Atiku, Obi, and so-called media models and turncoat who, for partisan pettiness, turned a blind eye to mass suffering that respected no tribe, faith, or party.”
