The group made this disclosure in a statement that was released today by the coalition's spokesperson, Abdul-Azeez Suleiman.
The coalition further made it known that the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho should not be seen as the end of agitation for self determination in the southern part of the country.
They also stated it clearly that the arrest of Sunday Igboho and Nnamdi Kanu should teach their followers who are instigating violence and lawlessness a good lesson.
The group said: "..... Igboho & Kanu's arrest should serve as a lesson to their followers who are instigated into setting their own backyards whereas the instigators of such lawlessness and violence almost all the time have full back options......"
It was reported that a well known Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemi popularly known as Sunday Igboho was today apprehended in Benin Republic by the security operatives.
I think the northern group has made their own point known. We all are entitled to our own opinions. But as for me, I don't think that self determination is a crime anywhere. Be it as it may, we have to wait and see what happens next.
