during an interview with the AriseTV morning show, Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan says that no matter how the court cases go, Nigerian's should admit that something has gone wrong.
He further stated that technology cannot guarantee free and fair elections in Nigeria; the only thing that can guarantee free and fair elections in our country is proper management of the technology, so we cannot rely on technology, he said.
According to him, all I want to tell the people of Nigeria is that they should all keep their aspirations high. I do tell people that technology cannot guarantee the free and fair elections that we need in Nigeria; that is why it is not reliable. The only thing that can guarantee free and fair elections is a proper management of the technology, which the INEC doesn't have. "You should all know that no matter how the court cases go, Nigerians should admit that something has gone wrong," he said.
