We Were Promised N1000 To Support Buhari — Pro-Buhari Protesters (Video)

A video of Pro-Buhari protesters, who were promised to pay them N1000 to join the protest, currently trending on Social Media shortly after the video was posted online.

Recall there is a report of some persons, who identified themselves as supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari, also clashed at Unity Fountain, Abuja, over sharing of money.

Although, Pro-Buhari rally is to show support for Buhari, to commemorate the June 12 Democracy Day of Nigeria. But, an internal tussle broke out amongst members of the #IStandWithBuhari protest group.

According to report gathered and released by guardian.ng, one of the protesters who demonstrated in solidarity with President Muhammadu Buhari said, he and other members of the group were paid ₦1,500 to hold a counter-protest. Added that, the protesters were promised between ₦1,000 and ₦1,500 to show support for Buhari and the government of Nigeria.

While men of the Lagos State Police Command on Saturday morning, fired tear gas canisters at the protesters gathered at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in Lagos, venue of the June 12 Democracy Day protest, as the protesters demanding an end to bad governance when they were tear-gassed by the security operatives.

However, personnel of the Nigeria Police Force (FCT Command) at the Gudu district in Abuja, also dispersed a June 12 protest group, when they fired tear gas canisters at the protesters, although, the protest was said to have taken off at about 08:30 am and was progressing with the protesters, mostly youths, expressing dissatisfaction with the state of affairs in the country identified as Nigeria.
