The governor, who spoke on Sunday in Owerri, said the sit-at-home only inflict pains and discomfort indigenes of the State.
Imo has been particularly hit by IPOB’s sit-at-home protests, which forced the state to shut down businesses every Monday for five weeks earlier this year.
However, here are 2 things to note as Uzodinma warns Imo State residents against obeying the order:
1. Supporting IPOB Is Not A Good Option
Imo residents should note that IPOB is a proscribed group and supporting their activities is not a good option. The activities of IPOB is against Nigeria's constitution and it should be avoided. Anyone that is caught engaging in IPOB activities could face serious punishment from Nigerian authorities. The State Government of Imo won't tolerate the activities of IPOB.
2. The IPOB Sit-At-Home Order Should Be Ignored
Imo residents should know that IPOB have no constitutional order to give directives to Nigerians. All Igbos should ignore the IPOB Sit-At-Home order because it is an unlawful order given by a proscribed group (IPOB).
Finally, I urge all Igbos not to support IPOB and their unlawful activities. All Igbos should support the federal government in making Nigeria a better place for all citizens.
What's your thought on Uzodinma's warning to. Imo State residents?
