Deputy Registrar of Rivers State Judiciary Leads Others to Inspect Courts in Gokana.

Chairman of the Gokana council, Honourable Confidence Deko, appealed to the chief judge of Rivers State, Justice S.C Amadi, concerning Gokana customary and magistrate courts. In a courtesy call by the Chairman to the chief judge of Rivers State, to honor the Gokana people by commissioning the customary and magistrate courts renovated by his administration. Justice S.C Amadi sent Deputy Registrar Menenen F. Poromon to ascertain whether the courts meet the standards of the judiciary.

Acting on the instruction, the Deputy Registrar in the company of other judicial officials was in Gokana on 23rd September 2021 to carry out Justice S.C Amadi's instruction.

They were lead on a tour of the facility by the legal Adviser to Gokana council Barr. Eugene Meabe and Barr. Joe Gborogbosi among other council staff.

After the inspection, the eyes and ears of the Chief Judge of Rivers State, deputy Registrar Menenen F. Poromon, expressed satisfaction with the level of work done.

He thanked the Gokana boss for the renovation, repeated what Justice S.C Amadi had previously said that the Gokana boss was probably the first to intervene in such a manner at the local government level.

He, therefore, assured his hosts that he would report to his boss the good works he had seen.
