Lesson To Learn As FBI Arrest Eight Nigerians For Internet Fraud.

Seven leaders of the Neo Black Movement of Africa, also known as “Black Axe,” and an eighth man who conspired with a Black Axe leader, were charged with multiple federal crimes relating to Internet fraud they perpetrated from South Africa, Acting U.S. Attorney, Rachael A. Honig, announced.

According to the US Department of Justice, Perry Osagiede, aka “Lord Sutan Abubakar de 1st,” and the rest 7 gangs, all originally from Nigeria, were all charged by the USA department of justice for wire fraud and money laundering, spanning from 2011 to 2021.

According to Attorney Honig 

 She said Americans are often victimized by criminal organization located abroad who whose the internet has a means to defraud them of money and persuaded the wittingly to assist on the fraudulent schemes she said.

The public should be on guard against fraudulent schemes like these. And, more importantly, anyone thinking of engaging in this kind of criminal conduct should understand that the U.S. Attorney’s Office and our partners will find them and bring them to justice, no matter where they are.”

Foreign nationals who think they can hide in another country or cyberspace while preying on our citizens need to know one thing.

“The FBI has a global footprint and will use every resource available to protect the American people. 

Director Jeremy Sheridan added.

 And according to documents filed in this cases they found out that the "black axes" headquarters was based in Benin city Nigeria.

Lesson to learn about internet fraud

(1) No one can escape the law, internet fraud is a crime, and whosoever is find guilty will be sentence to 20 years imprisonment

(2) Internet Fraud is a very big offense that deprive youths of a prosperous future.
