The mother of a young lady who was raped, drugged, and deported from a foreign nation in the Middle East has stated that she sacrificed everything in order to send her daughter abroad, but that she returned home in a bad shape after returning from her trip. Despite the fact that Funmilayo Fehintola moved to Oman in quest of greener pastures, she was subjected to a slew of horrific scenarios that negatively impacted her mental health.
Funmi claimed that she had originally intended to work as a house assistant in Oman, but that she had been coerced into doing other activities that she did not enjoy. She claimed that she was coerced into taking drugs and that she was assaulted by the individuals with whom she was staying. Funmi went on to say that she had a difficult time during her time in Oman, and that it had a negative impact on her.
As reported by the media, Funmi's mother expressed her shock and disbelief after seeing her daughter's condition. Those are her exact words:
"When I saw my daughter's physical state, I was quite depressed. I sold everything to help her fund her travel plans when she decided to go. I was under the impression that she would send me money from abroad, but I never heard back from her."
