Phone Technicians in Challenge Area, Ilorin the Kwara state capital has appealed to the state government to assist them over what they described as victimization from the state Road Traffic Management Authority (KWARTMA).
The Chairman of Challenge Market and Phone Technicians in Kwara state, Abdulrahaman Sulyman Amir while speaking to our correspondent Toyin Saheed, this morning while leading a peaceful protest of the technicians explained that they have written several letters to the state government on the matter, which has yielded no result.
Also speaking, Ibrahim Garuba, who alleged that the KWARTMA officials came in the night to raid all their stores appealed to the state government to come to their rescue.
Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of the state Road Traffic Management Authority (KWARTMA) Yekeen Babatunde Bello while reacting to the allegation said they have warned traders to move out of the walk way but they refused.
The protest, which started at challenge area Ilorin at about 9am o'clock caused gridlock as movement of vehicles were altered by the angry protesters.
