Nnamdi Kanu's lawyer has urged the members of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra leader, to be patient prayerful as their embattled leader await trial.

Ejiofor said this after revealing that there was no strong allegations to convict Kanu.

"All we need from Biafrans is prayers and patience. Pray for him, and for us his lawyers too,” Ejiofor said.

Bandits Invade Kaduna Community In Fresh Attack.

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have abducted many residents Anguwan Gimbiya community in Kaduna state.

The gunmen who came on motorcycles in a large number, stormed the villages around 11pm on Wednesday and began to fire sporadically.

It was gathered that many residents, including women and children, were abducted in the attack.

Senate screens Buhari's aide Lauretta, others for INEC job.

The Senate on Thursday started the screening of nominees for appointment as National Commissioners for the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The nominees, including one of the aides of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), Lauretta Onochie, are already in the Senate for the exercise.

Onochie arrived at the Senate wing of the National Assembly about 11 am.
