APC Ratifies Suspension Of Ken Nnamani, Orji Kalu, Onyeama, Others

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Southeast Zone has ratified the suspension of some leaders of the party accused of anti-party activities in Enugu and Abia States.
The Zonal Secretariat of the party stated that the ratification followed the South East Executive Meeting of the APC on April 16, 2023.
National Vice Chairman (Southeast) of the party, Ijeomah Arodiogbu said that they agreed that, in order to strengthen APC in the zone, “the party must enforce discipline amongst its members.”

Tinubu Sends Message To Judges

The President-elect, Bola Tinubu on Thursday appealed to judges not to compromise justice in the cause of their duties.
He spoke during the commissioning of the Magistrates’ Court Complex in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The President-elect said the complex was an indication that Wike was fighting corruption.
Military Speaks On Inauguration Of Tinubu

The Military High Command has reiterated that the May 29, 2023 hand over of power from President Muhammadu Buhari to the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, will hold successfully without any disruption.
Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Musa Danmadami, gave the assurance while answering questions from journalists after the bi-weekly press briefing on activities of the military on Thursday in Abuja.
He said the police and other security agencies were working hand-in-hand to neutralise any possible threat to the inauguration of Tinubu as president.
Niger Delta Group Wants Speaker Zoned To South-East

As consultations within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the planned zoning of the leadership of the 10th National Assembly continues, a group, the Niger Delta Rights Advocates, has called for the zoning of the Speaker of the House of Representatives to the South-East geopolitical zone.
The group, at a press briefing in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, said the APC must get it right by sourcing for a nationalist in the South-East for the position. The National Coordinator of the group, Bright Ngolo explained that zoning the Speaker to the South-East would bring about fairness and a sense of belonging.
