Sunday Igboho Will Not Return To Nigeria Due To Safety Concerns - Lawyer Alleges

Counsel to the embattled Yoruba Nation agitator, Olusegun Falola, has revealed that his client, Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday lgboho, would not return to Nigeria anytime soon.

Falola noted that the Yoruba activist would not return to the country for safety reasons.

While giving updates on the safety of Igboho, Falola said the Yoruba Nation activist is being kept safe in Benin Republic.

''Our nation may not be wealthy, and not much in population as compared to Nigeria but there is an agreement that must be revered.

''Igboho will not return to Nigeria for now for safety reasons. He is being kept safe in custody,'' Falola explained.

The Yoruba Nation activist was held in Benin Republic following his arrest at an airport in Cotonou. He was arrested alongside his wife, Ropo, while trying to flee to Germany.

Igboho had fled the country to Benin Republic, after the Department of State Services, DSS, invaded his Soka residence at Ibadan, Oyo State, and was subsequently declared wanted, for allegedly stockpiling arms and threatening the common existence of the country.
