Following the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra a few months ago. The Indigenous People of Biafra have directed all its supporters to observe the sit-at-home protest in the quest to release their leader.
The majority of the states in the eastern part of Nigeria such as Anambra State, Imo State, Ebonyi State, Enugu State, and Abia State have been observing the sit-at-home protest for the past few weeks.
Here are some pictures from Onitsha this morning, one of the busiest cities in the east observing the sit-at-home protest.
Onitsha is a city situated on the East bank of River Niger in Onitsha North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. The city has a seaport and one of the big markets in West Africa.
However, the Governor of the state has advised the general public to go about their normal daily business without any fear.
