The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami has moved to clear the air on the rumour that has been making rounds for some days that the federal government will arrest any Nigerian that is still making use of Twitter.
Recall it was reported that the Attorney General has ordered for an immediate arrest and prosecution of Nigerians who are still using Twitter after it was suspended in Nigeria.
According to him, it is within the guaranteed fundamental right of every Nigerian to tweet from anywhere in the world. He said that the federal government will only prosecute any group or organization that aid and abet Twitter to continue to threaten Nigeria's corporate existence.
"let it be made amply clear that the AGF, Abubakar Malami, is not after any Nigerian, tweeting from Nigeria or anywhere in the world but that any Nigerian company or entity that gives a helping hand for Twitter to escape the ban placed on it, will be dealt with." Abubakar Malami said.
