'The Tribunal Judge Who Declared Oyetola As Winner Saw The Case Differently' -Barr Monday Ubani
By Tarifree (self media writer) | 29 days ago
The Tribunal Judge ruling in favour of Gboyega Oyetola in the 2022 Osun Governorship elections was not seen the same way by all legal professionals. Barr Monday Ubani, a former Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association, commented that the Judge must have viewed the case differently based on the evidence presented before them. Ubani pointed out that human error is always possible in the judicial process, and that is why higher courts exist to review and rectify any mistakes.
Ubani emphasized that the legal process is carried out by human beings who are not infallible. Therefore, it is crucial to consider multiple decisions and views to ensure they align with the law. The Supreme Court and Appeal Court have since overturned the Tribunal's judgment.
