According to Vanguard Newspapers, the minister said that the choice of Twitter to open an office in Ghana isn't a commercial considering the fact that social media users in Ghana are only eight million, compared to Nigeria whose users are over 25 million. He revealed that every Nigerian expected the US-based company to consider Nigeria as the hub of Twitter business in Africa.
Lai Mohammed thereafter blasted the EndSaRS protesters calling their attitudes unpatriotic because they used the social media platform to paint Nigeria as a hell where no one can reside. He concluded by saying that this would serve as a strong lesson to Nigerians because Ghana is the champion of democracy in Africa now, he told Nigerians that the government isn't against criticisms but it must be stated in the right way. Quoted from him, "When you destroy your house, where will you live in? Job opportunities would have been created if the Twitter headquarters was sited in Nigeria, it would have given Nigeria a lot of visibility. This is what you get when you demarket your own country, thank God the United States government revealed that these allegations during EndSaRS are fake"

I think this isn't about the EndSaRS protests but about the insecurity in Nigeria, their needs to be a total change in our beloved country so that we can get back again. What do you have to say about this? Is Lai Mohammed right to say this? Share your views below
