In a report by Arise TV, the Federal Government is begging the youths to halt the commemorative protests in Lagos and Abuja for marking one-year ENDSARS protests. The Federal Government doesn't want the kind of destruction of lives and properties of people that happened last year to repeat itself.

Apart from the Federal Government and security agents that are warning the youths against this protest, many conflict resolution experts have also opined that the youths don't need this protest, because it will yield no result than the destruction of lives and properties of people, that they spent years to build. Many businesses were affected by the protest last year. Some are in serious debt now because of this. Therefore the youths need to re-strategize and look beyond violent protests that do nothing good to the citizens.
Nigerian youths should rather align themselves with other vibrant youths and see how they can take power from the old politicians. With the current political dispensation of the country, it will be difficult to bench the old politicians, the youths need realistic strategy and strong alignment to defeat them and not unproductive protests here and there and stop risking the lives of the people.
It's grossly disingenuous to embark on this jamboree called Endsars memorial. The protest will be misplaced, unarticulated, unfocused. There are many issues of importance bewildering this nation unattended to or unaddressed. The youths should channel the energy to be used in the protest to mobilize people to get voters cards and support youths as presidential candidates in different political parties in Nigeria.
