Following this incident, many individuals have blamed the police for their actions.
However, there are two reasons that justify the arrest of Endsars protesters by Nigerian police today.

The two reasons are listed below.
1: No one is above the law.
Despite all of the efforts of the Government to address issues, the Nigerian youths' decision to protest for Endsars memorial is uncalled for because it doesn't solve Nigeria's problems, rather it is causing more panic in the country.
Nobody is above the law, so the police can arrest anybody they caught doing illegal things.
2: The police warning issued prior to the protest justifies the arrest.
The police had previously warned that anyone caught without an ID card at the Lekki tollgate would be detained.
It is understandable that the government doesn't want any form of violence in the country. The protesters disrespected the federal government by protesting despite the warning issued.
As a result, the police should not be blamed for arresting and detaining the protesters.
Furthermore, I pray the government will have mercy on them, and grant them unconditional release.
