The Igbo Man Who Is Now A US Navy Commander, Check Out The South-East State He Comes From

Nigeria is indeed blessed with great talents, with men and women who are making the country proud outside the shores of our country. In different countries of the world, Nigerians have been prominent in different fields of endeavours there. From technology, medicine, education, military, sports, and others fields of human endeavours. We can boldly say that Nigeria is truly blessed.

And recently, another Nigerian made the country proud in faraway United States of America.

Some days ago, Commander Kelechi Ndukwe duty as a Commander in the US Navy Guided Missile Destroyer, USS Halsey (DDG-97).

Commander Kelechi Ndukwe:

Commander Kelechi Ndukwe, though a US Navy Commander is also an Igbo man. He hails Okolo-Item in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.

Some hours ago, Abia State Governor, Ikpeazu Okezie, had taken to his Twitter handle to praise Commander Ndukwe for the outstanding achievement, and for making the entire Abia state proud.

In his statement, he said that he joins millions of Nigerians across the world to celebrate Abia-born Nigerian-American Commander Kelechi Ndukwe who on Saturday assumed command of a US Navy Guided Missile Destroyer, USS Hasley (DDG-97), thereby becoming the first Abian, Nigerian and Nigerian-American to get to such position in the history of US Navy.

He said that with this achievement, Commander Ndukwe joins thousands of other Abians who are making the state proud on the global scene.

Whenever we see Nigerians like this who are doing exploits out there, we feel a sense of pride deep inside us. Because with such exploits, the whole world can truly see that Nigerians are not just about scam and fraud, but there are also noble men and women from the country who are flying the country's flag high out there.

This should be a lesson to the rest of Nigerians in the Diaspora, to make sure they desist from crime and only engage in things that will paint our country's image in good light.

And for those of us back here at home, we say a big congratulations to Commander Kelechi Ndukwe, and pray to God to continue to take him higher in his military career.

Please drop some congratulatory messages for him, and also share the article so that others can drop nice words for him too.
