Eid-il-Maulud: FG Declares Tuesday October 19 Public Holiday

The Federal Government has proclaimed Tuesday, October 19, a Public Holiday to stamp the Islamic celebration of Eid-il-Maulud, a "remembrance of the introduction of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace arrive)". 

Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, announced the benefit of the Federal Government, through an assertion endorsed by the Permanent Secretary in the service, Dr. Shuaib Belgore. 

Aregbesola saluted the Muslim loyal both at home and in the diaspora for seeing the current year's event. 

He advised all Nigerians to guzzle the soul of affection, persistence, and determination which he said: "are the excellencies of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (harmony arrive), adding that doing as such would ensure harmony and security in the country". 

"Ogbeni Aregbesola urged Nigerians, especially Muslims, to cease brutality, rebellion, and different demonstrations of guiltiness. As the unquestionable head of our race, we should show mindful authority in Africa. 

"While requiring a stop to all troublesome propensities the nation over, the Minister asks all Nigerians and the adolescent, specifically, to accept the ethics of hard work and quiet attitude to fellow humans, independent of confidence, belief system, social class, and nationality and help out President Muhammadu Buhari's driven Administration in its work to fabricate a reformist and fortunate country that all residents would be glad for", the assertion added.
