Ants are eusocial insects of the family Formicidae and along with the related wasps and bees, belonging to the order Hymenoptera. They are identified by their elbowed antennae and the distinctive node- like structure that forms their slender waists.

Reasons you keep having ant problems in your house.

1. Having food leftovers.

Ants look for easy food sources, which is why infestations are common in kitchens and places where food are left over.

2. Having leaking pipes and faucets.

Some ants species need a reliable water source to survive, so fix water leaks around pipes and anywhere on the roof. Also make sure gutters clean and able to direct rain away your home.

3. Having a sticky garbage.

Always rinse out your garbage bins regularly, and even bottles or canned food jars throwing them in the garbage, because ants always drive-in to get leftover food especially the ones that contain suger.

4. Having decaying wood in your house.

When wood around your home get moisturize, it makes the perfect hideout for colony of carpenter ants, a ant species that make their nests in moist or decaying wood.

How to prevent ants from home.

1. Fix water leaks in your home around your pipes and roof.

2. Keep things clean in your house, don't leave dirty dishes in the sink overnight and never forget to empty and clean trash container.

3. Make sure to regularly wipe down your stove top after cooking.

4. Replace rotting woods in your home, and clear out trees stumps and fallen branches from your home.
