I can not expose Boko Haram financiers because it is sensitive information - Abdulrasheed Bawa

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) identified as Abdulrasheed Bawa, said that he cannot disclose the names and identities of people sponsoring Boko Haram in Nigeria.

Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa, collapsed while delivering a speech on identity theft and other forms of corruption in Nigeria.

How do you expect me to disclose sensitive information concerning national security in public, Abdulrasheed Bawa said.

I cannot disclose the identities of those sponsoring Boko Haram and other terrorist organization in Nigeria because it is a piece of sensitive information that should not be unveiled to the public without precautions.

This development came after the United Arab Emirates (UAE) revealed the names, identities, and nationalities of individuals sponsoring terrorism across the world.

In the list unveiled by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), there were at least six Nigerians who were allegedly sponsoring Boko Haram and other criminal activities in the country.

Other names and nationalities were from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Iran, Russia, Yemen, Great Britain amongst others
