In a news that was published by Punch Newspaper this afternoon, it was made known that some bandits, who had their hideouts in Zamfara and Katsina forests, have met their waterloo, after the operatives of the Nigerian Military conducted series of airstrikes on their hideouts.
Information given concerning the incident made it known that when the incident made it known that while the military airstrikes were going on, bandits that survived the attack fled to a military base in Alawa, Maganda Village, Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State and engaged soldiers there in serious gun duel for several hours and fortunately for the soldiers, they were able to neutralize scores among the bandits while many escaped with gun shot injuries.
However, after the shootout, information given made it known that the dead bodies of the bandits that were seen have very long hairs on their heads, that doesn't look like that of Nigerians, and as thus, there is tendency that the bandits are not from Nigeria but criminals from other countries.
2. If the bandits were Nigerians, they would be familiar with the terrain and routes of the forest and as thus, they won't accidentally run to military base for cover but, due to the fact that they do not know the terrain and routes, they took cover at a military base in Alawa, where they were engaged in serious gun duel.
