Everyone is aware of the efforts the FG is making to end insecurity in Nigeria. The north is battling with Boko Haram terrorism, ISWAP, and bandit attacks. In the South East, it's the Seccession activities and the unknown gunmen attack. The South West remains the only zone with less levels of insecurity since the end of the open grazing regime of the Fulani herdsmen, who have not surrendered totally.
Many have questioned the reasons behind the regular uprising in parts of Nigeria. Many have also created some unverified theories to define the activities of the insurgence in Nigeria. Some of those people, including the former aviation minister chief, Fani-Kayode, who spoke on his social media page, said that foreign countries want to disintegrate Nigeria, through the process of provoking another civil war. The Politics Nigeria reported that the "new bride" in the ruling party has since silenced his regular criticism of the Buhari administration.
Judging by the statement credited to the former PDP chieftain, he failed to educate the public on his findings on how foreign powers are working round the clock to set Nigeria against itself. It's obvious that what he said should not be totally ruled out, but it is also obvious that things are not working well here. You can't say that you won't have enemies, but the ability to manage them becomes your job.
America may also have those who may want them to collapse, but they have been able to put their house in order. Therefore, anyone working against the US is wasting their own time, because they have unity of purpose. The US, the UK, and even China have contributed greatly to seeing that Nigeria moves on.
The US Tucano fighter jets are an open sign of support the US is giving to help Nigeria remain a single country. Otherwise, who are those countries that are that powerful to influence Nigeria's breakup if not the US, UK, and China, who are already behind us? It may be possible that enemies may be thinking of the fall of the largest black nation in the world, but if we really love ourselves, nobody else can stop us. But the issues bordering on nepotism, segregation, undefined hatred, unemployment, marginalization, and ethnicity may have helped to distabilize Nigeria, which is self-made and not a foreign policy. We can become great again if we are willing to do so.
