4 attitudes Igbo youths should avoid because of the Army's new operation in the Southeast.

Recently, there has been upsurge of insecurity issues in the southeast region of Nigeria which has resulted to killings and agitations. Owing to these life threatening activities, the Nigerian military has launched a new military operation in the region in order to curb the insecurity challenge.

Due to the pandemonium in Anambra State which is about to have her governorship election; there has been enormous insecurity challenge in the State; however, the Nigerian military has decided to launch operation in order to restore peace and tranquillity in the region.

The Igbo youths should be very careful concerning this military operation in the southeast region. These are five (5) attitudes they should endeavour to avoid:

1. Wandering late at night. Anyone caught late at night might be tagged a criminal or arm robber. It is better you avoid wandering late at night for your own safety.

2. Flaunting the secessionist outfit or flag: flaunting this outfit could be implicating. It is better you do not wear this outfit to avoid being manhandled by the Nigerian military. The Nigerian military are seeking means to quench the agitations of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN); however, flaunting their outfit or flag might implicate you.

3. Discussing matters relating to the activities of the secessionist group in Nigeria. President Muhammadu Buhari has made it clear severally that the unity of Nigeria is not negotiable, therefore, do not get yourself involved in discussing matters concerning the secessionist groups in Nigeria. If you are caught in such act, you might have yourself to blame.

4. Casting aspersions on the President. A lot of Nigerians are fond of heaping scorns and disgorging insults on the president, this is totally wrong. Do not involve yourself in casting aspersions on the President for no just cause. Despite the fact you have the freedom of speech as a Nigerian, you should be careful not to abuse the right. Insulting the President is unacceptable and punishable by the law, the Nigerian military will not condone such obnoxious attitude from any citizen.

Your safety is paramount, please endeavour to stay safe.
