Check Out The Defence Headquarters Response To A Demand Made By A Senior Advocate.

A senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Robert Clarke had demanded that the military should control the government temporarily and restructure the country.In a statement issued by Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu who is the Director of Defence information said the Armed Forces of Nigeria remain fully committed to the present administration and all associated democratic institutions. He noted that the military shall continue to remain apolitical, subordinate to the civil authority, firmly loyal to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, president Buhari and the 1999 contitution as amended.

General Nwachukwu added that the military will continue to discharge its responsibilities professionally, protect the coyntry's democracy, defend the territorial integrity of the country and protect lives and properties. He warned politicians who nurse the inordinate ambition to rule this country outside ballot box to banish such bad thoughts.

" We wish to remind all military personel that its treasonable to even comtemplate this illegality. The full wrath of the law will be brought to bear on any personel found to collude with people having such agenda" He further said " The current security challenges are not insurmountable. The Armed Forces of Nigeria in partnership with other sister security agencies are working assidously to ameliorate the challenges, Nigeria will know peace again ".
