According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 18:00 on March 17th, Russian forces have been unsuccessful in their attempts to break through the Ukrainian fighter's defenses on the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, while positional battles are ongoing in Bakhmut.
The Ukrainian Air Force carried out six strikes In clusters of Russian manpower and military equipment, while Russian forces carried out 19 airstrikes and deployed multiple-launch rocket systems to strike 26 times.
There were no significant changes on the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna fronts. However, Russian forces shelled various areas in Sumy Oblast, including Starykove, Volfyne, and Solianyky, as well as areas in Kharkiv Oblast, including Strilecha, Hlyboke, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Kutkivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, and Ternova.
On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, Russian forces unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops. The occupiers unsuccessfully tried to advance near Hrianykivka, Verkhnokamianske, and Spirne, and a number of settlements along the contact line were attacked using artillery, including Vesele, Hrianykivka, Vilshana, Krokhmalne, Berestove, Dibrova, and Andriivka in Kharkiv Oblast and Novoiehorivka, Nevske, and Bilohorivka in Luhansk Oblast.
On the Bakhmut front, Russian forces continue to storm the city of Bakhmut, where positional battles are constantly ongoing. At the same time, Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian attacks in the areas of the settlements of Klishchiivka and Ivanivske, while Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Zaliznianske, Vasiukivka, Bakhmut, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, and Oleksandro-Shultyne in Donetsk Oblast came under Russian fire.
On the Avdiivka, Marinka, and Shakhtarsk fronts, Russian forces carried out unsuccessful offensive operations near Kamianka, Nevelske, Avdiivka, and Marinka in Donetsk Oblast. They also shelled areas in and around settlements of Kamianka, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maksymilianivka, Marinka, Vuhledar, Velyka Novosilka, and Zolota Nyva in Donetsk Oblast.
On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, Russian forces are on the defensive. They attacked various settlements, including Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaky, and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Vremivka in Donetsk Oblast, Dobra Nadiia in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, as well as Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Vesele, Kozatske, Ivanivka, Mykilske, Dniprovske, Kherson, Berehove Veletenske, and Kizomys in Kherson Oblast.
