Troops Eliminate 81 Boko Haram
It is no more news the first civilian Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Ahmed Sani Yerima is engaged in what appears to be a game of hide and seek with registration officials sent by the All Progressives Congress to the state.
Yerima, as he is popularly referred to by admirers, was in his hometown Bakura as early as 12pm to revalidate his membership on Saturday. He waited until 10:00pm for registration officials only to be informed to return to his residence in Gusau, the state capital, to be captured.
Court Adjourns Suit Challenging NIN Registration
A Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday, adjourned until February 22, a suit challenging the linkage of the National Identification Number (NIN) with mobile lines amid the COVID- 19 pandemic.
The suit, earlier fixed for hearing on Monday, could not proceed as the court did not sit.
A rights activist, Malcolm Omirhobo, had sued the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) alongside others ordering citizens to link their NIN within a stipulated time.
Troops Eliminate 81 Boko Haram Fighters
Nigerian military troops of Sector 1 comprising troops of 21 and 26 Brigades supported by Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) have eliminated 81 Boko Haram fighters in Sambisa forest.
The Nigerian Troops, however, lost a soldier from landmine attack.
The troops during the mission cleared many villages of terrorists in the axis including Garin Bello, Kwoche, Lawanti, Alfa Bula Hassan and Alfa Cross among others.
