Why Nigerian Police Need To Investigate The Suspect That Was Caught With 260 Ammunition In Nasarawa

Since the news broke today about the arrest by alert security operatives of a 35-year-old Fulani man named Likita around Alushi Junction in Nasarawa State with 260 ammunition and 53 magazines among others, I have been wondering where the hell did he get such a mini cache of armory.

Amid conspiracy theorists warping their usual theories across social media platforms since the arrest of Likita was made known to the general public, questions like, where did the suspect bought those weapons? Did he buy them with his money? If it is not with his money, from which source did he get the fund to purchase those arms and ammunition?

Curiously, it was reported that Likita was on his way to Plateau State before he was arrested. For some days now Plateau has been under curfew as a result of religious tension that has enveloped the state.

It is obvious that whatever Likita plan It is not for good. The Nigerian security agencies need to carry out a thorough investigation on the scary issue. Imagine a single man traveling with such a cache of weapons. May God forbid that others like him might be lurking somewhere.

Security operatives need to do all they can to locate the source of these weapons because the proliferation of arms is one of the major causes of insecurity in Nigeria today.
