It is no longer news that the Nigerian Defence Academy was attacked by armed bandits around 1.00am on Tuesday morning. The attack reportedly occured at the permanent site of the institution along Airport road, Afaka in Igabi local government area of Kaduna state. About two personnel were confirmed dead while one was reportedly abducted.
At the time of writing this report, the Nigerian Military are currently in pursuit of those behind the attacks and have promised to bring them to book and ensure the safe rescue of the abducted personnel.
Nevertheless, the attack on the Nigerian Defence academy is a slap on the face of our Nigerian armed Forces. The Nigerian military must do all they can to ensure the safe rescue of their personnel who was abducted and also ensure that those behind the attack are apprehended and brought to justice. It is high time this bandits are declared as terrorists, and should be treated as such.
If armed bandits can successfully attack the Nigerian Defence academy, what then would be the case of ordinary Nigerians? Enough is enough, this is a big slap on our faces.
