Nigeria Troops Neutralized ISWAP Terrorists In Borno, Recovered Gun Truck, AK-47, Motorcycle & Ammo

Nigerian Troops of Operation Hadin Kai, repelled a surprise ISWAP attack on Dikwa community in Borno. ISWAP fighters stormed the town in a convoy of gun trucks and motorcycles, shooting sporadically at innocent civilians. The gallant military men engaged them in gunfight, with the air support of Mi-35 helicopter and recovered one guntruck, 8 AK-47 Riffles, ammunitions, motorcycles and bullets.

This victory was revealed in a press release signed by Brigadier General Mohammed Yerima, Director Army Public Relations, titled "TROOPS NEUTRALIZE ISWAP TERRORISTS IN DIKWA, CAPTURE GUNTRUCK, ARMS, AMMUNITION", the troops repelled their attack and left them with nothing.

However, With ISWAP's message released on Friday, there is no doubt left that Shekau is dead. In the 28-minute audio, which was released in Kanuri language, the ISWAP leader sent "glad tidings" of Shekau's death and explained how the brutal terrorist killed himself when he was cornered by ISWAP and justified pursuing him.

The good news from the audio is that Shekau's death is not even close to unifying Boko Haram. Inter-factional warfare has continued. Shekau soldiers have launched several counterattacks that has resulted in the death of ISWAP members and abduction of their wives and children.

ISWAP has vowed that it will keep fighting Shekau loyalists until they're eliminated. It isn't clear who is now leading the Shekau side, but the most important thing is that these repugnant terrorists will eat up themselves by killing each other. May they keep fighting until they both perish. ISWAP is officially confirming what we knew all along, that Abubakar Shekau is dead.

Shekau died around May 18 after detonating an explosive device when he was encircled by ISWAP following a battle with ISWAP leader Abu Musab al-Barnawi

"Abubakar Shekau, God has judged him by sending him to heaven" ISWAP leader al-Barnawi said in an audio tape.

This victory by the Nigerian army will send a shiver to the heart of ISWAP terrorists.
