IGP Approves Posting Of New CPs to 13 States

The IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, psc (+), NPM, fdc, has today being Friday ordered for the posting of Commissioners of Police to take over the mantle of leadership in thirteen (13) state commands including Abuja the Federal Capital Territory. Today being Friday, the spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Frank Mba, revealed that there are some states that are facing security challenges which need to be strengthened. These affected states includes; Benue, Kaduna, Cross River, Kwara, Taraba, Kogi, Jigawa, Enugu, Kebbi Nasarawa and Bayelsa apart from FCT. According to Mba, the posting is to take effect immediately.

According to the IGP, the essence of the posting of the Senior Officers is to reposition, enhance greater efficiency, stabilization of the internal security order and moving up the fight against crimes and criminality in the country. According to news, the affected State Commands and Commissioners of the Police posted are:

1 CP Monday Bala Kurya, Niger State Command.

2 CP Emienbo Tuesday Assayamo, Kwara State Command.

3 CP Soyemi Musbau Adesina, Nasarawa State Command.

4 CP Abimbola Shokoya, Taraba State Command.

5 CP Akingbola Olatunji, Benue State Command.

6 CP Babaji Sunday, FCT Police Command.

7 CP Arungwa Nwazue Udo, Kogi State Command.

8 CP Abdullahi Mudashiru, Kaduna State Command.

9 CP Aliyu Sale Tafida, Jigawa State Command.

10 CP Abubakar Lawal, Enugu State Command.

11 CP Alhassan Aminu, Cross River State Command.

12 CP Echeng Eworo Echeng, Bayelsa State Command.

13 CP Musa Baba, Kebbi State Command.

The following are other Senior Officers who are deployed and they include:

1 CP Ndatsu Aliyu Mohammed, a former Commissioner of Police, Enugu State, who is now the CP Anti-Fraud Unit FCID, Abuja.

2 CP Sikiru Akande, a former CP in Cross River State who is now redeployed to the Department of ICT as the CP ICT, Force Headquarters, Abuja.

3 CP Bankole Lanre Sikiru is deployed as the CP INTERPOL, FCID Lagos.

4 CP Augustine Arop is now posted as the Deputy Commandant, Police Staff College Jos.

The spokesman said that the IGP gave advice to the newly posted officers that they should justify the confidence reposed in them and they should assured citizens of sustained efforts by the Force in stabilizing security in the country

He concluded by saying he enjoined citizens in the affected States to cooperate with their new Commissioners of Police for efficient service delivery.
