Nigerian journalist, Babajide Kolade Otitoju has spoken as regards the issue of Boko Haram terrorist groups and their recent action while also revealing some unknown truth in the fight against insurgency.
Recall that a few days back, Marte Local Government Area was taken over by the Boko Haram sect who attacked the army base located in the area and took over while also hosting its flag to show that it is now in control.
Speaking on the issue, Babajide Otitoju who was no doubt sad about the news disclosed that while the terrorist group may not intend to stay at the military base for so long, their main reason for attacking the military base is to steal weapons.
He also discloses that the recent action from the Boko Haram group sends a message to the Nigerian military and government that the fight against the terrorist group is far from being over and that while some people may be thinking the terrorist group is currently weak, that is no doubt false.
According to Babajide Kolade Otitoju, Boko Haram controls some territory in Nigeria even though some people may disagree.
To buttress his point, Babajide asks where the sect moves the troop and plan operation from. He also asked where they keep their guns if they don't control any territory.
For him, the fact that Boko Haram gathered scout 17 gun trucks to attack Marte while also attacking the military base shows that the sect has their base and control some territories in the country.
