Government Inaugurates 21 Man Security Committees To Look Into Challenges In Schools

Ogun state Government has Inaugurated A 21 Man Committe to look into security challenges in schools and proffer possible solutions towards safeguarding and protection of schools Children

The Committee members on security and safeguarding are Alhaja sekinat Ogunwolu, as the chairman while other members includes Dr Olubunmi Womiloju , Comrade Akeem Lasisi , ACP Bolanle Murtala , Mrs Bolujoko , Mr Ganiyu Ramoni, Mr Tunde Kalejaye , Mr S Akinbo , Dr Waheed , Mrs Ogunkola, while Committee members on child right protection safeguarding are Mr Sorinola , Mr Olufemi Ayannuga , Mrs R.B Kadiri , Alhaja Ogunwolu , Aderonke Shodipe ,Mrs Adedeji , Mr Julius , Mr James Made ,Mrs Bolujoko ,Mr Segun Alade and Comrade Samson.

The Commissioner for Education Science and technology in Ogun state , Professor Abayomi Arigbabu disclosed this during a strategic meeting with relevant stakeholders held at the conference room of the ministry, said that the meeting which involves stakeholders such as the ministry of Justice , women affairs and social development , security agencies , relevant agencies and associations under the Education ministry was at the time where there are so many security challenges plaquing the country.

In his submission, the Attorney general of the state ,Mr Akingbolahan Adeniran reiterated that children security can not be over emphasized as all hand must be on deck to ensure their safety and protection.

In a separate address, the Commissioner of Police CP Edward Ajogun , represented by ACP operations Mr Muritala and special adviser to the Governor on Security, AIG Olusola Subair explain safe Schools initiative as an integral part of community Policing aimed at eradicating anti-social behavior, adding that students and teachers should be giving tips on safe defense and identifying Threatening conditions in a condusive learning environment in such a way that the training will not affect learning nor distraction.
