Just like the north, the south eastern part of Nigeria have also suffered series of attacks, the only difference is that, the attacks in the south east is mostly targeted at security operatives.
Below are 2 recent deadly attacks in the south that proves why troops should be deployed to the east to restore peace.
1. It was reported how some unknown Gunmen killed three policemen and set their vehicle ablaze in Onitsha, Anambra State. Two police men were injured during the shooting incident at the security post mounted by the operatives along Ukaegbu/ Ezeiweka road on Sunday.
The attack on police station and security agents has been a growing trend in the south east region of Nigeria.
2. Aside the Anambra attack, some unknown Gunmen also invaded the independent national electoral commission (INEC) office in Agwu LGA of Enugu State and set the facility ablaze.
Although the Enugu state fire service have now moved to the scene to take out the fire, the flame did not burn the entire complex as only one office room was affected in the raging fire before it was extinguished.

This is the reason why troops should be deployed to the east immediately to restore peace and order to the east, so that these unknown Gunmen will not go about destroying government infrastructure.
We all know what these unknown Gunmen are capable of, and they have always targeted the police because they seem weaker, if troops are deployed to the east, it may be difficult for these Gunmen to carry out another attack.
