Popular Nigerian politician and human rights activist, Femi Faani-Kayode has said that bandits should be eliminated via drone attacks and carpet bombing by the Nigerian Airforce. He made this statement after confirming that the NDA officer that was kidnapped by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Tuesday has been murdered by his abductors.
He revealed that the name of the kidnapped officer is Christopher Datong and that the act is "unacceptable and indefensible". He affirmed that the government should go hard on the bandits as they deserve to be killed in order to ensure peace and stability in the country.

Furthermore, he stated that the government should go after their foreign sponsors and that the military should pursue them into foreign countries like Chad, Niger Republic, Mali and Burkina Faso because they use those places as " spring board" to attack Nigeria. Until this measure is applied, we cannot win the war against bandits, he continued.

He added that the terrorist groups that attacked Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and Lebanon have focused on Nigeria and are trying to cause war but they will not succeed. He advised that the borders should be tightened so we can face our enemies.
