The Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was allegedly planted by the notorious terrorist group identified as Boko Haram in a bid to cause great damage to patrol trucks and other armored vehicles operating in the Northeast of Nigeria.
A convoy of Cameroonian soldiers was seen on the road waiting for the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) to be disarmed by specialized personnel within their squad.
Progress was made to excavate the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) from the ground and it was successfully detonated by gunshots which were fired by soldiers from a safe distance after the IED was excavated from the ground.
