The Russians launched a missile attack on the Kupiansk district in Kharkiv Oblast on 23 February.
The target was an administrative building, and civilians were left trapped under rubble. The head of the Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, confirmed the attack on Telegram, stating that it was carried out with an S-300 missile.
One man was injured in the attack, and at least two people were left trapped under the rubble of the damaged building. Emergency services were quickly dispatched to the scene to provide assistance.
The Russians also shelled the city of Kupiansk on the same day, causing injuries to two women. Medical assistance was provided to the women by medics. The missile attack and shelling come amid increased tensions between Ukraine and Russia, with the two countries having been involved in a long-standing conflict.
The attack on Kupiansk is the latest in a series of attacks by the Russian military on Ukrainian territory and has once again put the spotlight on the ongoing conflict.
