In as much as having a sniper in a squad is a good defense and foresight mechanism, improving of the machines they use to view their (distant) targets is one of the best ways of helping them do their job well. And this is what the Israel Defense Force (IDF) has done by providing their soldiers with what is called the HattoriX.

The HattoriX is an advanced fire support system that was built to help Israeli snipers view and lock their targets without a pointer. The modern geoscience device is an AI powered system that has an inbuilt goniometer, a mission computer, and a touch-screen display unit.
