NHI observed that the orgy of violence has been linked to agitations for the country’s split as well as the November 6 governorship elections in Anambra.
However, Igbos hailing unknown gunmen should realize that their actions could cause more problems in the South-East.
The activities of gunmen in the South-East region of Nigeria is becoming alarming and the federal government needs to take a vital action that will stop their action.
But why do some Igbos hail unknown gunmen in the South-East? Recall that some days ago, some residents of Anambra were seen hailing unknown gunmen in a viral video.
The action of some Igbos hailing unknown gunmen instead of calling the Police is questionable. Are the unknown gunmen truly unknown?
If Igbos don't stop showing support to unknown gunmen whenever the launch unlawful attacks on government properties, these gunmen might one day turn against them.
Finally, hailing unknown gunmen is bad and unacceptable and I urge all igbos to disengage themselves from this action.
