Nigerian Airforce Breaks Silence Over Video Alleging They Mistakenly Bombed 20 Soldiers In Borno

The Nigerian Airforce has reacted to a report alleging that its personnel on Operational duty bombed and killed over 20 Nigerian Army personal in an air strike at Mainok, a town about 55km to Maiduguri, Borno State.

Earlier today, some army officers fighting Boko Haram terrorists, alleged that some of their ground troops called as backup were shelled by the Nigerian Airforce.

Following the outrage the video generated, the Nigerian Airforce stated that an investigation has been launched over the incident and the general public will be duly updated on the outcome of the investigation.

Yesterday, Sahara Reporters reported that a faction of Boko Haram known as Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), attacked a Nigerian Army location at 156 Battalion in Mainok, Borno State and killed over 30 soldiers.

It was gathered that the terrorists came in no fewer than 15 gun trucks and burnt military super camp.

Sahara Reporters gathered that the insurgents also set ablaze a Nigerian army armored tanker and some operational vehicles.
