A man identified as Nwokeocha Martins shared his experience today, by narrating how all his neighbors left their various houses at night to hide in the bush in Ebonyi state. This revelation comes after the recent attack by suspected herdsmen in Ebonyi state.It was recently revealed that multiple lives were lost in the month of March, after suspected herdsmen attacked Egedegede, Obegu and Amuzu communities in Ishielu LGA, Ebonyi State.
The aftermath of the attack left many families in mourning while others now live in fear of more attacks. It was learnt that some residents of Ebonyi state have since lived in panic while some may have fled their homes for the fear of safety.
Martins revealed today, what everyone in his neighborhood did last night, and what he observed at his children’s school today in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital.
Making the revelation today Martins said, “everyone left their houses in my neighborhood and ran into the bush last night afraid of the rumor that the Fulani are striking imminently.”
He explained further that the fear may have also affected school activities by saying, “No one is in my children's school today. It has got to that point in Ebonyi State capital.”
