The Resignation Of 356 Nigerian Soldiers And The Bitter Truth[Opinion]

Very recently over 200 soldiers voluntarily resigned from the army under excuses of "Loss of Interest" and "Taking a Traditional Title." Nigerians remain totally shocked by this situation, particularly at a time when there are so many people that we can get in need of in the Nigerian army.

We recall that Gen Adeniyi Olusegun, the former theater commander in the "Lafia Dole" in Maiduguri action, claimed that his men were badly prepared to fight, and Lance Corporal Martins Idakpini reflected the feelings of the great commander, but with less reverence.

But the two men of the Nigerian army received the message and truly doubt that any person, having a family and loved ones, who might be dependent on them, will want to die in certain circumstances. Some of these men have now decided to leave the Nigerian Army.

We only hope and pray that this does not undermine the values of brave men in the Nigerian Army who, whatever the difficulties, have chosen to protect their country.

God bless and keep Nigeria!
