'Attack on the NDA by bandits is like armed robbers coming to your house' - Service Chief says

In the wake of the Tuesday morning attack on the Nigerian Defence Academy by armed bandits, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Lucky Irabor has reacted to the incident.

The General condemned the attack which left 3 officers of the academy dead and one injured.

During a press briefing on Tuesday in Yola, Irabor described the invasion of the NDA as madness, vowing that banditry will be brought to an end.

According to him, the attack on the academy by armed bandits can be compared to an armed robber visiting a person's house.

The General, however, expressed surprise at the invasion, noting that it was unusual for bandits to infiltrate a military base.

Irabor noted that any form of insecurity is always a cause for general concern and vowed that the 'madness' would be brought to an end speedily.

Recall that the residential wing of the Nigerian Defence Academy was breached by scores of bandits in the early hours of Tuesday.

The academy is located in the Afaka area of Kaduna State, northern Nigeria.
