The huge transport helicopter identified as Mi-17 can airdrop about 37 fully kitted paratroopers on the battleground while providing suppressive firepower.
As part of the best transport helicopter of the Nigerian Air Force, it is also very useful in the deployment of Nigerian paratroopers who can be seen in the video below, boldly jumping out of the Mi-17 helicopter from a high altitude.
One by one the Nigerian paratroopers jumped off the Mi-17 helicopter with their parachutes in place awaiting deployment from a required height below the Mi-17 helicopter.
These well-trained Nigerian paratroopers can successfully access remote areas and regions when deployed from the Mi-17 helicopter which can airlift several soldiers and transport them to a required point for operation.
