She said the incident made her feel humiliated and embarrassed. She thanked Nigerians, for their concern and appreciated those who reached out to her after the sad incident. She disclosed that after the incident she has not been herself, adding that she feels embarrassed whenever she recalls the incident. After the redeployment of the corps member, there are three things we should take note of.

1: The National Youth Service Corps, did the right thing, to redeploy her to Lagos State. Her redeployment would help her psychology, to forget what she expressed at the hands of the officer in Calabar. Her redeployment also shows that NYSC has the interest of Corps Members at heart. The body has shown, that it will always support the well-being of corps members. It is indeed a good thing, she was redeployed.

2: The incident, and the development that has followed ever since show that authorities are ready, to discipline the wrong actions of personnel. This will revitalize, and also inculcate discipline among other officials. It also proves that those who go against the human rights of citizens will get the appropriate punishment.

3: People might find it convenient to do evil deeds behind closed doors, but they shouldn't forget, we are in an era where the truth usually finds its way out into the public. The officer couldn't have realized the consequences of her action, but she has found herself in serious problems. The truth is that people should always think before they take certain actions.
