The explanation NA has given points their action against Chiwetalu Agu as an effort to safeguard lives and properties. It is important to caution other Nigerians who'll be willing to adorn themselves with such attires should desist from doing so. Why should they deviate from indulging in such an act?

Firstly, it challenges the unity of the country. The benefits derived from the oneness Nigerians enjoy today is colossal. The country has become so intertwined that it can't afford to divide. The reasons why the call for secession for Biafra and the O'odua nation met a dead end.
Any attempts by any individual to challenge this status quo would be seen as an attempt to disrupt the relative peace enjoyed in the country. As such, Nigerian security agencies would arrest the individual and prosecute him or her. If you don't want to fall into trouble, it would be wise to avoid adorning yourself with such attires or even involving in programmes that challenge the unity of the country.
Moreso, as the country continues to boil in the after-violence caused by previous agitations for secession, especially in the South East, it would be an attempt to foment trouble should anyone choose to wear IPOB regalia. Nigeria security agencies who are directly battling this menace are sensitive to actions that can fuel more crisis and would take drastic actions against such a person.
Wearing IPOB attires in the neighbourhood directly links you to an outlawed group. What that means is that you'll be treated as a possible threat to security.
To avoid embarrassment and promote peace in the country, Nigerians should desist from adorning themselves with IPOB attires.
