Bandits Might Be Fleeing From North-West To North-East Where They Will Join Forces With Terrorists

It is nothing new any longer that the federal Military troops have been clamping down on the bandits who have been on rampage in the North-West states in the past years. However, as the military bombardments of the criminal elements in their forest hideouts, especially in Zamfara, continue, the survuving ones among the outlaws have been running from one state to the other in search of safe Havens. But unfortunately for them, due to the fact that the Military forces have been registering their presences at almost everywhere they flee to, they have found themselves escaping to more distant horizons which are outside of the North-West part of the country. And they have allegedly been present, as well as already started unleashing their evildeeds on the residents of some parts of Kano State which is a North-Eastern state.

According to his yesterday presentation at a plenary, the Representative of Rogo Karaye Federal Constituency, Honourable Haruna Isa Dederi, over the past few weeks, the inhuman elements have been invading Jajaye, Zarewa, RuwanBago, Bari, Falgore, DutsenBan and Hawan -Gwamna (Fulatan) communities in Rogo LGA, and abducting the locals. Speaking further, he warned the if their horrible activities were not stopped on time, they might succeed in spreading them to the rest parts of the State, thereby, aborting the peace that has been in existence there.

However, beyond what Honourable Dederi feared for, since Kano State is just like a stone's throw away from Borno State which is the hub of the Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists, the two groups of the elements of insecurity might soon get together, and form an alliance in the North-East. It will be recalled that the people of that region have already been enmeshed in the horrors of terrorism. Thus, it is strongly hoped that the menace of banditry does not succeed in spreading across there too. To even imagine that they had allegedly been meeting in Sambisa forest for training purpose makes the possibility of their union a thing that would be readily possible. So, government and other capable hands really must start making frantic efforts towards doing the needful now that it is not already out of hand.
