Insecurity remains a ravaging factor that has claimed more lives and properties in Nigeria following the mindless and senseless activities of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists, bandits, killer Fulani herdsmen and other criminals operating in the North and Southern part of the country. This has been a worrisome situation for both the government and citizens in the past few months.

Although other parts of the country have been troubled by the activities of unknown gunmen, Killer Fulani herdsmen, kidnappers and robbers, the negative impact of their actions against the security of the country is alarming and needs to be checked before it consumes all of us.
From the foregoing, it has been reported that Boko Haram terrorists had in a recent attack on Saturday invaded Katarko village, in Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State. The report has it that the terrorists came to the community shooting sporadically in 10 gun trucks.

Indubitably, the Nigerian troops with renewed energy and commitment are doing everything possible to fight against the insurgent group and other crimes in troubled regions. The Nigerian government also has in recent times invested in the acquisition of more fighter jets and other sophisticated weapons to tackle the menace of insecurity across the country.

It could be concluded by saying the Northern region remains a hotbed of insecurity and the neighbouring countries like Niger, Chad and others serve as a hideout for these terrorists to continue to hit and run back to take cover. It is therefore, pertinent for the Nigerian troops to find a lasting approach to fish out these criminals in their hideouts.
