The best graduating Cadet award is a very rare award given yearly to the most outstanding Cadet in every aspect in the Academy. In 2018, second lieutenant UE Nwama was given this award. The young officer who is the son of Igwe Onosi Eze AC Iweka 3 in Anambra State, was presented with the prestigious award and given the Golden sword, to mark his achievement at the passing out Parade in 2018. He was almost perfect in every aspect during his study and training as a cadet in the Academy.
He didn't only graduate as the best Cadet, he was also the Academy Cadet Adjutant (ACA) of the Academy. The ACA is the most senior cadet of his set in the Academy. He oversees all the affairs of his set and liaises with higher authorities in the Academy on their behalf.
